Dinh-Thuan Do (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S., M. Eng., and Ph.D. degrees from Vietnam National University (VNU-HCMC), in 2003, 2007, and 2013, respectively, all in communications engineering. He was a Visiting Ph.D. Student with the Communications Engineering Institute, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, from 2009 to 2010. Prior to joining Ton Duc Thang University, he was a Senior Engineer with VinaPhone Mobile Network, from 2003 to 2009. He was a founder of Wireless Communications Research Group funded by Ton Duc Thang University during period from 2016 to 2020. He was a supervisor for numerous Ph.D. students in the Ph.D. joint program managed by Ton Duc Thang University and Technical University of Ostrava (VSB), Czech Republic. Dr. Thuan was a recipient of Golden Globe Award from Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology in 2015 (Top 10 most excellent scientist nationwide). He currently works as Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Asia University (Taiwan). His publications include over 80 SCIE-indexed journal articles, over 100 SCOPUS-indexed journal articles and international conference papers. He is sole author in one textbook and five book chaptera. His research interests include signal processing in wireless communications networks, NOMA, full-duplex transmission, and energy harvesting. He has served as a Guest Editor in Special Issue “UAV-enabled B5G/6G Networks: Emerging Trends and Challenges” PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION (Elservier) in 2021; a Lead Guest Editor in Special Issue “Power Domain Based Multiple Access Techniques in Sensor Networks” in INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF DISTRIBUTED SENSOR NETWORKS (IJDSN) in 2020; a Guest Editor in Special Issue “Massive sensors data fusion for health-care informatics”, ANNALS OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS (Springer) in 2020; a Lead Guest Editor in Special Issue "Recent Advances for 5G: Emerging Scheme of NOMA in Cognitive Radio and Satellite Communications", ELECTRONICS in 2019. He is currently serving as an Editor of COMPUTER COMMUNICATIONS (Elservier), an Associate Editor of EURASIP JOURNAL ON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS AND NETWORKING (Springer), an Associate Editor of ELECTRONICS and an Editor of KSII TRANSACTIONS ON INTERNET AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS.
Dr. Debdeep Sarkar
Dr. Debdeep Sarkar is an Assistant Professor in Department of Electrical Communication Engineering (ECE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He received his B.E. in ETCE from Jadavpur University (2011), and M.Tech. and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2013 and 2018 respectively. He has worked as visiting researcher and post-doctoral fellow in Royal Military College, Canada in May-August 2017 and Nov 2018-Feb 2020 respectively. Dr. Debdeep has authored/co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed journal papers so far. Dr. Debdeep serves as reviewer in several prestigious IEEE Transactions and letters. Dr. Debdeep is also currently serving as Associate Editor in IEEE Access and IET Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation. Dr. Debdeep is the recipient of the URSI Young Scientist Award (YSA) twice (in the APRASC 2019 and URSIGASS 2020), along with best paper awards and grants from several conferences. He has also been selected for the prestigious position of ‘Infosys Young Investigator’, by Infosys Foundation, Bangalore. He is currently an IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Young Professionals (YP) Committee member, and Vice-Chair in the IEEE YP Affinity Group, Bangalore section.
Dr. Tao Guo
Dr. Tao Guo received his doctorate from the University of Tokyo and has been working as a research scientist in the geospatial information industry for more than 25 years. He has published more than 40 academic papers and is the inventor of about 20 international patents. Dr. Tao Guo is an active advocate for applying geospatial technologies for ecological environment protection and has been long engaged in many eco-environment related projects across China, Thailand, Japan, EU and others countries. Dr. Tao Guo joined PIESAT Information Technology Co,Ltd. as a vice president from ETH Zurich in November 2017 and now dedicates his efforts to bridge the industrial community with the society for environmental protection and sustainable development with a special focus on decision-making supports, he has been an invited speaker at many international conferences, as well as a member of the IEEE GRSS Industry Distinguished Lecturer Program 2021.PIESAT Information Technology Co., Ltd. is a leading geospatial information enterprise in China focusing on R&D of satellite technology applications and provides professional services including software systems R&D, technical consulting, system design and integrated geospatial solutions for various applications, such as meteorology, marine, water, land, forestry, agriculture, environment, emergency and disaster response, surveying and mapping, navigation, to name a few . Dr. Ajit Kumar Panda
Dr. Ajit Kumar Panda received his Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics area in 1996 from Sambalpur University and was a Post Doctorate Fellow at University of Michigan before joining National Institute of Science and Technolog. He left NIST in 2020 to have his own start up called Electronics Center of Excellence (e-COE) to provide RF solution for communication circuits. He is a BOYSCAST Fellow. He is the recipient of ICTP Regular Associate Award for the collaboration work with ICTP Microelectronics Laboratory, Trieste. He has visited countries like USA, Italy, German, France, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Nepal, Bangkok on different academic assignments. He has published more than 70 international Journal papers and presented his work in more than 100 international/national conferences in the area of Semiconductor Devices, VLSI circuits and Microwave Engineering. He was the coordinator of NIST TIFAC CORE in “3G/4G Communication Technologies” which has established with a funding of around 10Cr from DST, few industries and NIST. He is a senior member of IEEE, member of VLSI Society of India, Life member of ISTE and fellow of IETE. He was the faculty advisor of NIST IEEE ED Students Chapter and Executive Committee member of IEEE Bhubaneswar sub-section. Twelve students have awarded PhD under the guidance of Dr. Panda, four student has submitted the thesis and eight students have registered for the PhD and two student is doing Post Doctorate with Dr. Panda getting National Post Doctorate Fellowship program. He is a regular reviewer of more than 10 indexed journals including IEEE, IET, and Elsevier etc. He had organized more than 30 conferences at NIST and other places. He is the co-author of a book named “Physics of Semiconductor Devices” and has successfully completed number of projects funded by DST, UGC, MHRD, and MSME. His research interest includes Semiconductor Heterostructure devices, VLSI Circuits, Microwave Monolithic Integrated Circuits (MMICs) and Communication Technologies. His group has recently fabricated/tape out a mixed-signal IC using umc 180nm technology and it is first of its kind in Odisha. His B Tech project students were in top 5 in Cadence Design contest in 2012 and winners in 2014, 2015 and 2016 in all India competition (only institute to obtain thrice the Cadence Design contest in B Tech category). This is considering being one of the biggest successes of Dr. Panda as a technocrat. He has obtained Odisha Technocrat Award for 2015 and obtained University Foundation day Research Award 2019 from BPUT for best publication in between 2017 to June 2019. He is now totally engaged with industry to solve the RF issues of 5G communication Technology.
Mr. Rampersad is the VP of Engineering at EarthDaily Analytics in Vancouver, Canada. He has 17 years of experience in the satellite industry with a unique mix of expertise in both space systems and software engineering. He has a long track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects for both big and small Earth observation satellites. Prior to his work with EarthDaily Analytics, Mr. Rampersad was a technical lead at MDA where he led and developed innovative solutions for world class Earth observation ground segments including the RapidEye and Worldview constellations. He also led the development of the ground segment processing chain of the world’s first commercial colour High-Definition video from space at UrtheCast. At EarthDaily Analytics, Mr. Rampersad leads the engineering strategy and development of innovative new software services designed to transform raw downlinked Earth observation satellite data into scientifically accurate imagery ready to power Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications. Mr. Rampersad holds a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies and is an IEEE GRSS industry distinguished lecturer in the area of ground segments and mission trades.
Dr. Rudra Sankar Dhar
Dr. Rudra Sankar Dhar obtained his B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from CVRCE, Orissa, received M.Phil in Microelectronics Engineering from University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK and earned his Ph.D. in Nanotechnology Engineering from University of Waterloo, Canada. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the area of Nanomaterials technology and Smart Electronics for development of green technology based nanodevices at the University of Alberta, Canada. He has also served and worked as teacher and researcher for more than 15 years at some of the reputed Industry and Institutes globally such as Chipworks Inc. Canada, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Thapar University, India among few others in the area of nano-microelectronic and optoelectronic technology and devices, molecular and smart materials for emerging technology applications. Presently, he is working in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Mizoram since December 2015. He has supervised 2 PhDs and many MTech students to completion while 20 other PhD students are ongoing and executed a few high value sponsored projects in India and abroad. He is the author of 3 books, and many Scopus indexed international book chapters while he published more than 100 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences worldwide. He is also a reviewer and editor of many Scopus indexed journals and conference proceedings. He has also been elected as Fellow of IETE, India in September 2020. His research interests include Semiconductor device physics, Nanomaterials Technology, Renewable, Hybrid, and Green Energy Design, solar photovoltaic devices and applications for 1D, 2D, and 3D quantum structures and configurations
Dr. Vinayakumar Ravi
Vinayakumar Ravi is an Assistant Research Professor at Center for Artificial Intelligence, Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, Khobar, Saudi Arabia. My previous position was a Postdoctoral research fellow in developing and implementing novel computational and machine learning algorithms and applications for big data integration and data mining with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH, USA from September, 2019 to September, 2020. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Computational Engineering & Networking, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, India. His Ph.D. work centers on Application of Machine learning (sometimes Deep learning) for Cyber Security and discusses the importance of Natural language processing, Image processing and Big data analytics for Cyber Security. His current research interests include applications of data mining, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning (including deep learning) for biomedical informatics, Cyber Security, image processing, and natural language processing. His publications include prestigious conferences in the area of Cyber Security, like IEEE S&P and IEEE Infocom. He has given many invited talks on deep learning applications in IEEE conferences and Industry workshops in 2018. He has got a full scholarship to attend Machine Learning Summer School (MLSS) 2019, London. Dr. Ravi has served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member at international conferences including SSCC Symposium, IEEE TrustCom-2020, and IEEE SmartData-2020. He is an editorial board member for Journal of the Institute of Electronics and Computer (JIEC), International Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics (IJDCF), and he has organized a shared task on detecting malicious domain names (DMD 2018) as part of SSCC'18 and ICACCI'18. He received the Chancellor's Research Excellence Award in AIRA 2021 and was included in the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University published in PLoS Biology.
Dr. Angsuman Sarkar
Dr. Angsuman Sarkar is presently serving as a Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering in Kalyani Government Engineering College, West Bengal. His current research interest spans around study of nanoelectronics with application of nanoscale devices. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of Institution of Engineers (IE) India and has previously served as the Chairman of IEEE Electron Device Society, Kolkata Chapter. He has authored 6 books, many contributed book chapters, research papers in international refereed journals and in national and international conferences. He is a member of the board of editors of various journals. He is currently supervising 8 Ph.D. scholars and has already guided 6 students successfully as principal supervisor. He has delivered invited talk/tutorial speech/expert talk in various International Conference /technical programs. He has organized IEEE international conferences and several workshops/seminars.
