ICCDN 2020, the 4th International Conference on Communication, Device and Networking, is held at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), Sikkim, December 19–20, 2020. The publication of the ICCDN is sponsored by LNEE, Springer (SCOPUS Indexed).

The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, academicians, and industry professionals to present their recent research works and to explore future trends in various areas of engineering. The conference also brings together both novice and experienced scientists and developers, to explore newer scopes; collect new ideas; establish new cooperation between research groups; and exchange ideas, information, techniques, and applications in the field of Electronics, Communication, Devices, and Networking. The ICCDN-2019 Committees rigorously invited submissions of manuscripts from researchers, scientists, engineers, students, and practitioners across the world related to the relevant themes and tracks of the conference. The call for papers of the conference was divided into six tracks as mentioned, Track 1: Electronics Devices & Nano-technology, Track 2: Signal Processing, Track 3: Microwave and millimetre wave engineering, Track 4: AI and its Application, Track 5: Energy, Power and Control, Track 6: Communication and Networking

The conference is enriched with five keynote speeches each of 1 hour duration by eminent professors. Dr. Subhas Mukhopadhyay, Professor of Mechanical/Electronics Engineering, Macquarie University, Australia. Dr. S R Mahadeva Prasanna, Professor in the Dept of Electrical Engineering, and Dean (Faculty Welfare, Research and Development) at IIT Dharwad. Dr. Marius  M. Balas, Professor at, “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, Romania.  Dr. Sunit Kumar Sen, Ex-Professor of the Department of Applied Physics, Instrumentation Engineering, University of Calcutta. Dr. Dinh-Thuan Do, Assistant Professor of Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, College of Information and Electrical Engineering Asia University, Taichung city, Taiwan. Dr. Angsuman Sarkar, Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering in Kalyani Government Engineering College, West Bengal. Dr. Tanweer Ali, Assistant Professor-Senior Scale in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal.

A total of 113 papers have been received; out of which 50 papers (including 3 invited papers) have been accepted in the conference. Participants are coming from different parts of the country as well as across different countries. All these efforts undertaken by the Organizing Committees lead to a high-quality technical conference program, which featured high-impact presentations from keynote speakers and from paper presenters. The significant technical gathering in the conference is really carrying the message within the state of Sikkim where people are being conveyed about the global progression toward smart home, smart campus, and smart cities.
