ICCDN 2024, the 7th International Conference on Communication, Device and Networking, was held at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), Sikkim, during December 19–20, 2024. The publication of ICCDN-2024 was sponsored by Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE), Springer (SCOPUS Indexed).

The aim of the conference was to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, academicians, and industry professionals to present their recent research work and to explore future trends in various areas of engineering. The conference brought together both novice and experienced scientists and developers to explore new scopes, generate fresh ideas, establish collaborations between research groups, and exchange information, techniques, and applications in the fields of Electronics, Communication, Devices, and Networking.

The ICCDN-2024 committees rigorously invited manuscript submissions from researchers, scientists, engineers, students, and practitioners around the world under six dedicated tracks:

• Track 1: Electronic Devices & Nanotechnology
• Track 2: Signal Processing
• Track 3: Microwave and Millimetre Wave Engineering
• Track 4: AI and Its Application
• Track 5: Energy, Power and Control
• Track 6: Communication and Networking

On behalf of the Executive Committee and the Local Organizing Committee, we expressed our sincere gratitude to the authors and participants for their original ideas, innovative applications, and practical achievements showcased in the conference.

The conference was enriched with six keynote speeches, each of one-hour duration, delivered by eminent speakers from academia and industry. The distinguished keynote speakers included:

We also extended our thanks to Dr. Zheng Xu, Shanghai University, China, for organizing a special session. A total of 192 papers were received, out of which 78 papers were accepted for presentation at the conference. The proceedings of ICCDN-2024 were published in two volumes. Participants from different parts of the country, as well as from several other countries, presented their papers offline and also through an online platform.

All these efforts undertaken by the Organizing Committees culminated in a high-quality technical program, featuring impactful keynote addresses and scholarly paper presentations.

On behalf of the ICCDN-2024 organizing committee, we extended our heartfelt thanks to Springer for their kind cooperation. We were deeply grateful to our Chief Patrons, Patron, Advisory Board members, General Chair, and Program Chair for their unwavering support and encouragement.
